# How to read a record — French companies in judicial reorganisation

> What the record is, what the status means, and what is left out.

## How to read these records

### Which companies

Companies named in a BODACC judgment opening a judicial reorganisation in 2024 to 2026, not followed by a liquidation, with an INSEE headcount band of 20 employees or more.

### The headcount band

INSEE records a headcount band for each company in its SIRENE register, with the year it refers to. It is
joined here by SIREN. A company in a procedure has often shed staff since that year.

### What is not here

Names of administrators, liquidators, directors or any individual. Sole traders. Street addresses. The text of the
judgment. Schools, health and care providers. Companies that asked INSEE to limit the publication of their data.

**Administrator of a company listed here?**

The internal data of a company that employed 50 people or more (Slack or Microsoft Teams archive, documentation, project histories) may still have value after it has stopped operating.

[Check whether this company’s data qualifies →](/pro.md) We are paid by the buyer if a partnership is signed, never by the company. Whether personal data in those archives can be transferred is a legal question for whoever controls them. Not affiliated with the DILA or INSEE.
